Phonk Slap — Phonk Slap Controls
Basics Updated 2026-08-30

Phonk Slap Controls

Phonk Slap keeps its control scheme deliberately tiny — one attack, one ability button, one cosmetic trigger. Everything below is from the official game description and the developer’s v1.0.3 changelog, which added full console support.

PC controls

Action Key Official note
Slap Left Click “Click to slap” per the game description
Glove ability E “Each glove has a unique game-changing power”
Flex Aura — PC key not listed in official text; equipped via lobby stands

Two PC-side quality-of-life rules from the v1.0.3 patch:

  • Slaps have a 1.5-second cooldown, shown as a bar on screen.
  • A swing only fires when it will actually land — no more whiff animations that do nothing.

Console controls (added v1.0.3, July 27)

Action Button
Slap R2
Glove ability R1
Flex Aura Y
Menu cursor Select opens a free-moving cursor

Console support also fixed gamepad prompts so they show the correct button art per action.

Mobile controls

Mobile runs a dedicated button set rather than touch gestures:

  • A slap button and an Ability button, with new artwork and placement shipped in v1.0.4.
  • A Flex Aura button, reworked in v1.0.2.
  • Inventory access moved to the topbar in v1.0.4, one tap away at any time.

Movement

Walk speed was increased in v1.0.3 — the developer’s stated goal was faster chasing, dodging and repositioning. There is no sprint or dodge button in the official text; positioning is your only defense besides the shield windows.

Using the shields (the real “third button”)

The hidden half of Phonk Slap’s combat is timing:

  • After you slap someone, you get a short invulnerability burst (v1.0.3).
  • After you get slapped, you’re invulnerable until the white glow fades (v1.0.1).

Both windows are free — plan your next move around them instead of mashing slap into the cooldown bar.

Dropkick note

The v1.0.4 patch fixed Dropkick direction, so victims now fly exactly where you’re aiming instead of drifting sideways. Dropkick behavior in the current build follows your aim, not your camera drift.
